New season of exploration near Veruda Islet in Pula area

From 17. to 23. May 2017 the second research campaign on Veruda Islet shipwreck near Pula was conducted. This project involves ICUA Zadar and RGK Franfurt - DAI Berlin. The main aim of this year's excavation was monitoring of the in situ conservation cover of wooden ship remains set in place last year.

Also, further investigation for the existence of new finds and structurer outside last year's area of interest was made. New types of small finds and absence of structures will help researchers in revealing the secrets that this post-medieval shipwreck still hides.
